Six Redmond teams top the field of eight remaining competitors following round two of Hopelink’s Can Madness food drive. The single-elimination competition continues through April 4. The 16 businesses competing in the second week of the tournament collected a total of 4,775 pounds of food and $131 in cash, bringing the total for the campaign so far to 8,667 pounds and $949.

Hopelink’s fifth annual competition is patterned after the national spring college basketball tournament, matching businesses in weekly contests to see which one can bring in the most food. Teams are bracketed together in pairs and one winner from each two-member bracket advances to the following week.
