Hundreds of Redmond and Eastside residents raised awareness and funds at Redmond Town Center (RTC) Sunday morning at Alzheimer’s Association Washington’s the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event.

Walkers raised more than $111,534 at the event, which will support research efforts for those impacted by Alzheimer’s. The walk is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs.

More than 5.4 million Americans have Alzheimer’s disease.

“It was inspiring and hopeful seeing so many Eastside families walking in honor of their loved ones who have been affected by Alzheimer’s,” said RTC marketing director Jessica Morgan. “Their efforts and donations will bring more awareness to this important health issue. We were honored to host the event on property.”
