Kidde recalls dual sensor smoke alarms; can fail to warn of a fire

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced today a voluntary recall of all Kidde Model PI2000 Dual Sensor Smoke Alarms. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed as it can fail to warn of a fire.

The model number and date code are on the back of the smoke alarm. Only date codes Aug. 1, 2008-May 4, 2009 are included in this recall.

This recall will affect approximately 94,000 units.
