Venues for Artists in the Local Area (VALA) Eastside is currently showing the work of Kirkland artist, Rebecca DeVere at its gallery at 16471 74th Ave. N.E. in Redmond Town Center.

DeVere’s latest paintings, “Coming of Age: A Childhood Series,” will be featured through Sept. 15. The paintings are based on papers from her childhood, winding her memories from writings and drawings in notebooks into this body of work that encourages people to look back in order to understand where they are today and where they will go tomorrow.
