Stolen vehicle recovery: During an area patrol at 11:22 p.m., a Redmond officer located a stolen vehicle from an outside jurisdiction in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast in Overlake. Investigation of evidence revealed two likely suspects.
Bicycle theft: Redmond police took a report of a stolen bicycle from the 8700 block of 161st Avenue Northeast on Education Hill at 5:06 p.m.
Vandalism: Redmond police investigated the report of damage to mailboxes at an apartment complex in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast in Grass Lawn at 4:38 p.m.
Identity theft: A resident in the 11800 block of 173rd Place Northeast on Education Hill reported at 11:55 a.m. that her husband’s social security number was used illegally.
Tuesday, April 23
Shoplifting: A male was observed exiting a grocery store in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street in Overlake at 11:35 p.m. with a cart full of unpaid merchandise. He was eventually located and will be charged with theft.
Lose the shades: Redmond police investigated a theft of sunglasses at a business in the 2000 block of 148th Avenue Northeast in Overlake at 6:15 p.m.
Fraud: At 3:27 p.m., Redmond police investigated the report of fraudulent activity on a credit card from the 14000 block of Northeast 63rd Court in Grass Lawn. No suspect information is available at this time.
No resale value: At 1:19 p.m., Redmond police responded to a report from the 7800 block of Leary Way downtown regarding an attempt to resell merchandise that was stolen from another location.
