Make-A-Wish Foundation ‘Walk for Wishes’ steps off Aug. 16 at Marymoor Park

Hundreds of people will grab their walking shoes and head to King County’s Marymoor Park, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy. NE in Redmond, this Sunday, Aug. 16, in support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and its inaugural Walk For Wishes.

The Walk for Wishes is a family-friendly 5K walk to raise funds for and awareness of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Participants are asked to register prior to the event online at: www.northwestwishes.org . Participants can also create their own online fundraising pages.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as well as children’s activities and entertainment. Special thanks go to sponsors 100.7 The Wolf and Nintendo.

Registration and check-in will begin at 8:45 a.m. followed by the opening ceremony and the walk at 9:30 a.m. The event will conclude at noon.
