Nabbed while napping: Police officers responded to a reported assault at a hotel in the 7400 block of 164th Avenue Northeast.

A woman was attacked by her boyfriend, who was later found sleeping in his vehicle across the street from the hotel. He was arrested and taken to jail.

Vacuum cleaner thief: Police believe that a suspect involved in multiple thefts of Dyson Vacuum cleaners throughout the Puget Sound area is to blame for a recent Dyson vacuum theft at a Redmond department store in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street.

Monday, July 21

Violence is not the answer: A man was arrested after he threatened another man with a gun following a hit-and-run accident in the 17200 block of Redmond Way. Right after the accident, a passenger in the first vehicle made threats to the driver of the other vehicle. He told the other driver that he could resolve their problem with a gun.

Police officers arrived and arrested the man who was making threats with his gun.

Put up your dukes: A drunk man was arrested in the 8500 block of 134th Circle Northeast for disorderly conduct after he stepped toward a police officer in an aggressive fighting posture.

Valuable part: A catalytic converter was stolen from a delivery truck, which was parked at a business in the 8400 block of 154th Avenue Northeast.

No more bike rides: A woman who lives in the 18700 block of Northeast 59th Circle called police to report that her son’s unlocked bicycle was stolen from her apartment complex.

Saturday, July 19

Pay up: A 23-year-old Kirkland man was detained by grocery store security after stealing alcohol from a store in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street.

Time to behave: Officers arrested a man who had returned from detox and was making threats to an employee of a business in the 14900 block of Northeast 24th Street.

Friday, July 18

Pool shark: The indoor pool area of an apartment complex in the 15600 block of Northeast 40th Street was broken into and vandalized overnight.

Thursday, July 17

Killer words: A 44-year-old man who lives in the 6000 block of 185th Circle Northeast threatened to kill his roommate during a verbal argument.

Prying for gas: Somebody used a pry tool in an attempt to break into a locked fuel tank, located in the 10900 block of Avondale Road.

Car prowl: Somebody smashed out the window of a vehicle parked in the 11700 block of 157th Avenue Northeast and stole a purse and a backpack containing a laptop.
