Man enters not-guilty plea for child molestation charge

Melvyn Bravo-Flores was arraigned and entered a not-guilty plea on Wednesday morning at King County Superior Court for a charge of one count of child molestation in the first degree, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney Office.

The 20-year-old Renton resident was arrested at his residence Aug. 5 for investigation of child molestation charges at the La Petite Academy in Redmond. He was booked into King County Jail, where he remains with bail set at $100,000.

His case-setting hearing is scheduled for Sept. 1.
