Many high school seniors from Redmond are among the approximately 16,000 semifinalists in the 56th annual National Merit Scholarship program announced today by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The Redmond students are as follows:

• Redmond High School: Logan M. Dougherty, Darien D. French-Owen, Ryan M. Hussin, Raluca I. Ifrim, Chris S. Lim, John M. Lyon, Jeffrey A. McNerney, Joseph Mercer, Arjun V. Narayanan, Benjamin M. Wright

• The Bear Creek School: Thomas H. Chittenden

• The Overlake School: Stephanie M. Adcock, Quinn P. Radich, Kathleen G. Stockdale

• Home School: Robert J. Reed

These academically talented students have the opportunity to compete for more than $36 in National Merit Scholarships that will be offered next spring.
