Markle and Microsoft partner to retrain American workers

Microsoft and the Markle Foundation have announced a $25.8 million three-year partnership to expand the Markle Foundation’s Skillful initiative.

The initiative is a data-driven way of connecting workers and businesses in today’s labor market, a press release from Microsoft said.

It will help American workers get in-demand digital skills.

Microsoft sees jobs being created in growing sectors, but the digital and technical skills the jobs require have been out of reach for many, the release said. The partnership is aiming to fix that across the U.S.
