Mathnasium hosts First Annual Math Contest

Mathnasium of Redmond held its First Annual Math Contest – called a Math Triathlon – on Saturday May 23 at the Mathnasium Learning Center in Cleveland Square.

The contest was open to all students in third through sixth grade. Students competed against other students in their grade level for cash prizes. Also, Mathnasium of Redmond will donate $100 to the classroom of each first place winner. More than 50 registered students represented over 15 schools in the Redmond area.

The students competed in three different math events testing their computational, creative and mental math abilities.

“We are excited to be able to host this fun math event,” said Miles Ulrich, Director of Mathnasium. “We love math and we want to give kids fun and positive experiences with math.”
