Meeting to discuss transportation in southeast Redmond

The second public meeting for the Greater Southeast Redmond Area Transportation Study will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 at Redmond City Hall, 15670 NE 85th St.

Redmond residents and business owners are invited to meet with city staff and study consultants to provide feedback on possible transportation improvements for the Greater Southeast Redmond area.

This public meeting is the next in a series of meetings and workshops facilitated by the city to address congestion and freight mobility in Southeast Redmond. The Greater Southeast Redmond Area Transportation Study focuses on three components:

• Freight mobility and the needs of Redmond businesses to move goods and services;

• Transportation system improvements to relieve congestion and address mobility needs;

• A preliminary design for Northeast 76th Street from Redmond Way to 192nd Avenue Northeast, the main east/west corridor through the area.

Future development is likely to contribute to congested roads. Meeting attendees can provide valuable input on transportation issues and consider potential solutions for Southeast Redmond.
