On Saturday, more than 250 Boys & Girls Club youth will attend the first-ever Kids TechFest on the Microsoft Corp. campus in Redmond.

Kids TechFest is a collaborative program dedicated to engaging kids in the world of technology. The program brings technology companies from across the Pacific Northwest to provide Boys & Girls Club members with a full day of projects, workshops and competitions. Kids from second to 12th grades will be measuring energy usage, creating claymation movies and editing video footage and running through geocatching courses.

In addition, the youths will test out brand new and unreleased products, including the new Windows 7 phone, learn about career opportunities, get sneak peeks of upcoming Xbox games and see prototypes that are just in the beginning design phases.
