Redmond-based Microsoft Corp. will reveal the next version of the Xbox game console at 10 a.m. on May 21.
According to the Seattle Times, Microsoft sent invitations today for the reveal event, which will take place at the Xbox campus in Redmond.
There are no more details on the event, but according to the Xbox website, people will be able to watch the reveal on the website, Xbox Live or Spike TV.
The Seattle Times also states that the new Xbox console — whose name is still unknown — is expected to have six times the power of the Xbox 360, “driven by AMD chips with a PC like architecture that could make current game discs unplayable or less convenient to play on the new system.”
In addition, the new Xbox is also expected to have a Blu-ray drive and come with a new more precise version of the Kinect voice and motion sensor, according to the Seattle Times.
