Microsoft’s Cavanaugh awarded Making IT Happen Award

Cathy Cavanaugh of Redmond was recently honored by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) with the Making It Happen Awards.

Cavanaugh was one of seven teachers who were recognized for their commitment to transforming education through innovative technology integration.

Nearly 20,000 registered attendees and industry representatives from around the world traveled to Denver for ISTE 2016, an education tech event, where Cavanaugh was honored.

Cavanaugh is director of teaching and learning, worldwide education at Microsoft. She was a Fulbright Senior Scholar, advancing e-learning in Nepal and developed professional development programs for educators and blended learning programs for K-12 students.
