Microsoft’s Lola Ball to present during conference at Bellevue Community College

Redmond-based Microsoft program manager Lola Ball will be among presenters at the “Expanding Your Horizons for Middle School Girls” conference, on Saturday, March 21 at Bellevue Community College.

Redmond-based Microsoft program manager Lola Ball will be among presenters at the “Expanding Your Horizons for Middle School Girls” conference, on Saturday, March 21 at Bellevue Community College.

The career development program is for girls in grades 6-8 and runs from 8-11:50 a.m. Sponsors include Bellevue Community College, Puget Sound Center for Teaching, Learning and Technology, The Expanding Your Horizons Network and AAUW (American Association of University Women) branches from Lake Washington, Kirkland-Redmond and Issaquah.

With 38 programs during three sessions, girls will choose to hear from female speakers in a wide variety of professional and technical backgrounds. In addition to Ball, speakers will include Seattle’s Q13 Fox meteorologist M.J. McDermott, Kirkland-based naturopathic physician Nita Bishop, Sammamish-based veterinarian Amy Cottrille, Snoqualmie-based marine and wildlife biologist Julie Hopkins and more.
