More solar electric panels to be added at Redmond High

The Lake Washington School District is expanding the one kilowatt solar electric system at Redmond High School and is adding five more kilowatts.

The addition of 24 more solar electric panels will be elevated on the south wall of the building in the main entrance courtyard.

The installation features a computer-monitoring system which will allow students and others to see the daily and monthly production of electricity. The system is being installed by Western Solar Inc. and will produce about 5,200 kilowatt hours of electricity per year. Western Solar designs and installs solar systems throughout Western Washington. For more information visit www.westernsolarinc.com
