More SR 520 lane closures coming up

Crews working for the City of Redmond will continue to close all lanes of either eastbound or westbound SR 520 in Redmond throughout this weekend and next week.

The closures are part of a project to install 56 bridge girders for an SR 520 overpass connecting NE 36th and NE 31st streets in the Overlake area. A signed detour will be in place for each closure. Some closures might be canceled in the event of heavy snowfall.

• Saturday, Dec. 12-the morning of Friday, Dec. 18: Crews will close all lanes of westbound SR 520 between NE 40th Street and 148th Avenue NE nightly to install bridge girders for the new overpass. The closures will be Saturday, Dec. 12: 11 p.m.–8 a.m. and Sunday, Dec. 13–the morning of Friday, Dec. 18: 10:30 p.m.–5 a.m.
