Earlier this week, Redmond resident Wendy Engquist snapped this photo of a mother goose, who has made her nest for the fourth year in a row on this roof on Avondale Road Northeast and about Northeast 88th Place. She is on the east side of the road on top of the roof of a house that is falling down around her. When Engquist shot this photo, the noise from the traffic was loud, “but being a good mom, she knows this is a very safe place to have her babies,” the photographer said.
