A motorcyclist died after a collision involving a Microsoft Connector bus Friday afternoon.

According to the Redmond Police Department’s Twitter page, the motorcyclist died on the scene at 188th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 76th Street — near the new Costco construction site.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the motorcyclist as Kevin Sims, 50, and the Redmond Police Department confirmed this information.

The collision happened around 4 p.m. and both 188th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 76th Street are closed.

The RPD Twitter page also posted that there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.
