Murder suspect in Redmond massage therapist death arrested in Los Angeles

Bellevue police have arrested a 46-year-old Edmonds man in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Nataliya Vabishchevich.

Bellevue police have arrested a 46-year-old Edmonds man in connection with the murder of 35-year-old Nataliya Vabishchevich.

Local officers arrested the man in Los Angeles with the assistance of U.S. Marshalls and the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect is being held in L.A. pending extradition by California authorities.The investigation by Bellevue police continues at this time.

Vabishchevich was found dead around 11:54 a.m., June 17 in her condo in the in the 12700 block of NE 10 Place in Bellevue.

A co-worker who was concerned the victim did not show up for work or call in, arrived at her residence and found her dead in the entry way with the door left open, according to Bellevue Police public information officer Carla Iafrate.

Vabishchevich, a massage therapist at Eastside Life Chiropractic in Redmond and Pure Chiropractic Center in Bellevue was a native of Belarus and lived with her young son.

This is the first homicide in Bellevue in 2013. Last year, there were two homicides — one resulted in a conviction and the other one is pending trial.
