Tuesday, March 21

Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 4:52 p.m. in the 2300 block of Bel-Red Road. A local business performed work this past December and later learned that the credit card that was used as payment had been reported stolen. Follow up is taking place to identify the person who used the card.

Monday, March 20

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 9:30 a.m. in the 17200 block of Redmond Way. Employees at a business called police after seeing an individual conceal several bottles of alcohol and exit the store without paying for the merchandise. Officers located the subject near the store and the adult male was arrested for theft. Subsequent charges of being in possession of another’s identification and having burglar tools were also filed. The individual was booked into jail.

Saturday, March 18

Burglary: Redmond police took a residential-burglary report at 11:53 a.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 78th Place. An unknown suspect(s) couldn’t wait to check in to a hotel that is still under construction. The perpetrator(s) forced their way in during the night and checked out with two televisions. Evidence was collected at the scene and could lead officers to identify the “guests.”

Friday, March 17

Fraud: Redmond police took a fraud report at 4:13 p.m. in the 17600 block of Northeast 88th Place. A citizen called police after being informed by her bank that someone attempted to fraudulently cash one of her checks. It appeared that the checks were stolen prior to being delivered to the victim through the mail. Information from the bank is being investigated to locate a suspect.

Thursday, March 16

Found it: At approximately 6 p.m. in the 16800 block of Northeast 39th Court, a citizen called police after seeing a car parked for several days without moving. The vehicle was found to have been reported stolen with the Everett Police Department. The car was impounded and processed for evidence. It’s possible the suspects who used the car are responsible for other recent property crimes in the city.

Wednesday, March 15

Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 4:36 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway. An apartment-complex resident discovered his vehicle had been broken into overnight and his phone, stereo and spare key for another vehicle were taken. The victim noted a suspicious car in the parking lot prior to this incident. The license plate he provided for this car had been reported stolen from another jurisdiction. Follow up continues to identify a suspect.

Burglary: Redmond police took a commercial-burglary report at 8:11 a.m. in the 16400 block of Redmond Way. An officer investigated a theft and property damage at a construction site. An unknown suspect(s) managed to enter the site overnight and climb up into a crane cab. A pair of binoculars were stolen and a ukulele was damaged. Extra security is being added to the job site. No suspect information exists at this time.
