A new, non-profit Redmond Chorale is being formed with dual intentions to promote performing arts in the community and give back to the community though charitable donations.

A new, non-profit Redmond Chorale is being formed with dual intentions to promote performing arts in the community and give back to the community though charitable donations.

Laurie Betts Hughes, a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and doctoral candidate at University of Washington School of Music, will direct the chorale, which will rehearse on Monday nights from 7-9 p.m., beginning on Labor Day, Sept. 6 at Meadowbrook Church, 17944 NE 65th St.

The group’s first performance will be at a holiday concert, Sunday, Dec. 5, also at Meadowbrook Church.
