Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 2:15 p.m. in the 9500 block of Avondale Road. A 17—year-old reported that he was threatened by other teenagers, then later assaulted by one of their family members. Police are investigating.

Theft: Redmond police took a report of a theft from a motor vehicle at 8:10 a.m. in the 13700 block of Northeast 69th Street. A car stereo taken from the dash of a vehicle while parked in a condominium complex parking lot.

Monday, May 9

Shoplifting: Redmond police arrested two adults and a juvenile for shoplifting several high-priced items, including modems, routers, ink and FitBits, at 6:01 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street.

Bike theft: Redmond police took a bike-theft report at 3:42 p.m. in the 16000 block of Cleveland Street. The bike was stolen from a rack at an apartment.

Sunday, May 8

Theft: Redmond police took a purse-snatch report at 3:50 p.m. in the 15900 block of Northeast 85th Street. A library patron reported that her wallet was taken sometime while she was inside the building.

Saturday, May 7

Assault: Redmond police took an assault report at 3:27 p.m. in the 8200 block of 160th Avenue Northeast. Officers arrested a suspect after he approached a man in a retail parking lot, made some confusing statements and punched the man in the mouth.

Trespassing: Redmond police took a trespassing report at 9:46 a.m. in the 7300 block of 170th Avenue Northeast. Officers arrested an adult male for trespassing and disorderly conduct at a local fitness facility after he yelled and cursed at a workout class, refused to leave when staff asked and physically blocked the entrance of the facility.

Friday, May 6

ID theft: Redmond police took an ID theft report at 2:11 p.m. in the 18100 block of Northeast 95th Street. A man reported that someone had rented an apartment in his name, in another state.

Arson: Redmond police took an arson report at 2:27 a.m. in the 14600 block of Northeast 91st Street. Officers responded to assist Redmond firefighters with traffic control after a structure fire and are now conducting an arson investigation.

Thursday, May 5

Found it: Redmond police participated in a stolen-vehicle recovery at 7:08 p.m. in the 16500 block of Northeast 84th Court. Officers took a report of a stolen vehicle, which was later recovered by Washington State Patrol when it was involved in a hit and run on I-5. The victim reported they rented out their personal vehicle using an online car-sharing program and the renter never returned the vehicle.

Warrant: Redmond police located and arrested a subject with an active felony warrant at 3:49 p.m. in the 15800 block of Redmond Way.

Wednesday, May 4

Fraud: Redmond police took an Internet-scam report at 5:17 p.m. in the 10500 block of 158th Avenue Northeast. A resident received a pop-up “virus” message on their computer with a number to call. After calling the number, they were asked to provide credit card information to repair the issue and were charged $499.

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 3:26 p.m. in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. Officers arrested two suspects for stealing perfume, watches and a Sonicare toothbrush. Officers also discovered what appeared to be drug paraphernalia and discovered that one suspect had multiple arrest warrants from three other cities.
