Monday, Dec. 11

Vandalism: Redmond police took a vandalism report at 11:01 a.m. in the 16200 block of Northeast 43rd Court. A resident reported that an unknown suspect vandalized her new fence.

Sunday, Dec. 10

Mail theft: Redmond police took a mail-theft report at 3:08 p.m. in the 12200 block of 171st Court Northeast. A resident reported a package had been stolen from his front porch sometime during the day. There was no suspect information available.

Saturday, Dec. 9

Shoplifting: Redmond police took a shoplifting report at 12:50 p.m. in the 17200 block of Redmond Way. Police were called to a local grocery store after a teenager stole two bottles of liquor and ran from store employees. A loss-prevention employee recognized the teen from a previous shoplifting incident and reviewed security footage that showed him taking liquor off the shelf. Upon confrontation, the suspect dropped his backpack, breaking one of the bottles, and fled. Inside the backpack was a high school student photo ID card that the store employee told police matched the suspect. Officers are following up with the school to locate the suspect.

Thursday, Dec. 7

Theft: Redmond police took a theft report at 11:47 a.m. in the 17200 block of Northeast 70th Street. A self-storage company reported having a tow dolly stolen from their property. The dolly was last seen in October when it was reportedly returned by a Texas resident who had rented it. There was no further information available about what might have happened to it between then and now.

Wednesday, Dec. 6

Robbery: Redmond police took a robbery report at 11:53 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast 40th Street and 168th Avenue Northeast. Police are investigating a robbery that occurred on the sidewalk in front of an apartment complex. An unknown suspect grabbed a woman’s purse, pushed her to the ground and fled in an unknown direction with her belongings. The suspect was described as a young, thin, adult, white male wearing a black hat and a light gray sweat suit. Officers canvassed the area but were not able to locate the suspect. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical care at the scene. Investigation is ongoing.

Tuesday, Dec. 5

Trespassing: Redmond police took a trespassing report at 8:41 p.m. in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street. An inebriated man was trespassed without incident from a local grocery store after he was found sleeping in the deli area. Records show the 60-year-old had been asked to leave the same property in October.
