Published 3:00 pm Monday, April 4, 2016

OneRedmond and the Washington Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) are offering a “Minimum Viable Story” workshop for small businesses from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 21 at the Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Redmond campus, 6505 176th Ave. N.E.

The morning seminar costs $40 and demonstrates techniques to deliver a story in a manner that breathes life into a product, service or idea and transforms it into a compelling business opportunity. Morning seminar participants may attend the afternoon workshop at no extra cost, where they will work on their pitch/story with help from the instructor Gregory Paley, who led the development of Geo-Domains and the creation of online communities. He has more than 20 years experience as an executive, founder, commercial lawyer and mentor.

Participants will learn the elements of effective storytelling, how to explain the reasons their idea stands out when pursuing funding, preparing their pitch and how to create the framework that brings clarity to a company’s overall purpose and mission.
