OneRedmond hires first chief executive officer

Bart Phillips from Vancouver, Wash., accepted the position to become the first chief executive officer for the newly formed OneRedmond.

OneRedmond provides economic development to the greater Eastside by attracting new businesses to the region and helping existing businesses expand and grow.

Phillips comes to OneRedmond with more than 20 years experience in economic development and is a native of Washington state. Throughout his career, Phillips has worked on various economic development councils and he has also helped pass legislation providing incentives to the semiconductor industry. Phillips’ most recent role has been with Innovate Washington, a state-led economic development entity.

“We believe hiring Bart as our new chief executive officer is a real win for the OneRedmond organization and for the Eastside communities,” says Dr. Eric Scroggins, president of the OneRedmond Board.

Phillips will take his new position on Nov. 1.
