Overlake launches new summer program | Camps

Summer just got a whole lot more fun. The Overlake School in Redmond has announced a new summer program offering more than two dozen classes as well as sports camps for students designed to spark engagement and fun.

Summer just got a whole lot more fun. The Overlake School in Redmond has announced a new summer program offering more than two dozen classes as well as sports camps for students designed to spark engagement and fun.

The middle school choices include everything from a CSI adventure to robotics, as well as a musical and much more. Flexible scheduling enables families to select just morning or afternoon classes or a full-day program. There’s also extended care available until 5:45 p.m.

Full-day courses run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For half-day courses, the morning period is from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and the afternoon period is from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Session 1 – June 15-26

Session 2 – June 29-July 10

Session 3 – July 13-24

The high school offerings include ACT/SAT prep courses.

ACT Prep – Academic Approach

Grades: Rising 11th and 12th graders

Dates: June 15-July 3

Times: 9 a.m. to noon Mondays (June 15, June 22, June 29)

9-11 a.m. Tuesday-Friday

SAT Prep – Academic Approach

Grades: Rising 11th and 12th graders

Dates: July 6-24

Times: 9 a.m. to noon Mondays (July 6, July 13, July 20)

9-11 a.m. Tuesday-Friday

Academic Approach tutors assess specific strengths and weaknesses for each class with a diagnostic test and analysis in order to provide an in-depth understanding of the most common and immediate learning needs for each class. Extensive print coursework supports students with a comprehensive review of every rule and strategy necessary for test-taking success.

Summer at Overlake is open to any student entering grades five through high school in Seattle and neighboring Eastside communities.
