Perrigo Park now open after getting shut down due to landslide

Power has been restored to Redmond's Perrigo Park and the park is now open. A landslide, created by the weekend's heavy rains, forced the closure of Perrigo Park, 9011 196 Ave. NE, on Monday. The landslide carried mud, trees and debris across 196th Ave NE and knocked over power lines, shutting down power at the park, according to Marta Gronlund, Communication Program Manager for the City of Redmond.

A landslide, created by the weekend’s heavy rains, forced the closure of Perrigo Park, 9011 196 Ave. NE, on Monday.

The landslide carried mud, trees and debris across 196th Ave NE and knocked over power lines, shutting down power at the park, according to Marta Gronlund, Communication Program Manager for the City of Redmond.

King County Public Works crews cleared the road, which was re-opened Monday afternoon, according to the county website.

Puget Sound Energy restored power to the park Monday night, Gronlund said.
