Threats: A contractor working in the 3200 block of 157th Avenue Northeast received a threatening e-mail from an Islamic Group.

Tuesday, June 9

Steal and run: A woman stole several food items from a grocery store in the 15000 block of Northeast 24th Street and then ran away when confronted by store management.

Monday, June 8

Food thieves: Two suspects stole prepared food items from the deli at a store in the 17200 block of Redmond Way.

Black out: Someone stole three yard lights from a residence in the 18400 block of Northeast 95th Street.

Cash request: An employee at a business in the 17600 block of Redmond Way reported that a white man came inside and asked her to open the cash drawer. When she refused, the man left in a compact vehicle. The employee said the same man came into the business the day before.

Sunday, June 7

Road rage: Redmond Police responded to a reported assault in the 16500 block of Northeast 80th Street. A Seattle woman was struck in the face by an unknown suspect while she was sitting in her car. “The incident stemmed from both persons’ actions on the roadway,” the police report said.

Saturday, June 6

Five-finger discount: A woman was arrested and later released for stealing children’s clothing at a store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

Suspicious circumstances: A resident found a pair of women’s jeans and torn shirt at a local park on Northeast 40th Street.

Time for a designated driver: Redmond Police arrested a driver for driving under the influence in the 2600 block of West Lake Sammamish. The driver’s blood-alcohol content was “more than three times the legal limit,” according to the police report.

Friday, June 5

Hit and run: A Kirkland man reported that a vehicle hit him as he was walking in the 9100 block of 151st Avenue Northeast.

Thursday, June 4

Reckless driving: A resident reported that a suspect drove his vehicle in a reckless manner as he was honking his horn and screaming at the occupants of a special-needs school bus in the 6600 block of 159th Avenue Northeast. The suspect passed the school bus on the right side, driving onto the sidewalk, as the bus was stopped to load a blind child.
