Wednesday, Oct. 14

Theft: A man was seen concealing items in a lunchbox before leaving the store in the 1500 block of Northeast 24th Street.

Right number, wrong person: Redmond Police investigated a possible theft of a cell phone in the 6200 block of 137th Place Northeast. An unknown man answered the phone when it was called by the victim.

GPS devices stolen: There were two similar car prowls reported within a half-hour of each other in the 4300 block of 156th Avenue Northeast. In both incidents, the suspect smashed the vehicle window and stole a GPS system.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

DUI: Redmond Police responded to a disabled vehicle near the corner of Willows Road and Redmond Way. The driver was arrested for DUI.

Burglary: A woman who lives in the 95500 block of 163rd Place Northeast returned home to discover that her home had been burglarized. A computer, other electronic equipment and rifle were stolen.

Automobile theft: A locked Honda Civic was stolen from an apartment complex in the 4200 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway.

Monday, Oct. 12

Drugs: Redmond Police pulled a driver over after observing numerous violations. The driver told the officer that a minimum of a quarter-pound of marijuana was in his vehicle. The man was arrested and the care was impounded.

Recovered stolen vehicle: A Seattle Police officer recovered a vehicle that was originally stolen from Redmond. The vehicle was towed to Lincoln Tow Yard in Seattle.

Sunday, Oct. 11

Shoplifting: A man was arrested for shoplifting at a store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

Caught on tape: Surveillance footage showed two suspects stealing a Wii gaming system from a store in the 220 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

Domestic violence: Redmond Police arrested a man for assault and violation of a no contact order in the 7200 block of Old Redmond Road.

Burglary: A business owner reported that his business in the 15300 block of Northeast 24th Street was broken into overnight. The glass front door was shattered and the cash register pried open. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Saturday, Oct. 10

Salad or drugs?: Redmond Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 8900 block of 160th Avenue Northeast, where officers found a man who had a warrant from another agency. Police officers searched the man and found “a small amount of green, leafy vegetable substance,” according to the police report. The man was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Busted, big time: Redmond Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the 12300 block of Willows Road. The passenger of the vehicle was arrested for possession of marijuana and the driver was arrested for DUI.

Friday, Oct. 9

Assault: Two people got into an altercation at a residence in the 9400 block of 166th Avenue Northeast. The victim told Redmond Police that the suspect hit him with a bottle and then punched him. The two were just acquaintances, so the victim did not know the suspect’s name. The victim was treated at Evergreen Hospital for cuts and swelling to the face.

Unnecessary roughness: Two different high school students reported that their vehicles were damaged while they were parked at the school in the 10300 block of 172nd Avenue Northeast during a football game.

Disturbance: Redmond Police arrested a transient man who caused a disturbance at a grocery store in the 7300 block of 170th Avenue Northeast, damaging food items and threatening employees.

Not so fast: Redmond Police arrested a suspect, who tried to steal a bag of groceries from a store in the 17900 block of Redmond Way.

Thursday, Oct. 8

Theft: Redmond Police arrested a woman for shoplifting at a store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.
