Wednesday, Aug. 19

Felony thefts: Redmond Police have forwarded information to the FBI’s NCIC (National Crime Information Center) regarding thefts of two computers from two Microsoft Corp. buildings in the 5600 block of 148th Avenue Northeast and the 7300 block of 166th Avenue Northeast.

Car prowls: Investigation is ongoing, in response to reports of car prowls at an apartment complex in the 8000 block of 145th Avenue.

Suspicious circumstance: Redmond Police responded to a report of child abuse at a department store parking lot in the 17600 block of Union Hill Road. An unknown suspect was seen hitting a child inside of a parked vehicle. The suspect has not been identified.

Shoplifting: Redmond Police responded to an in-progress shoplift at a grocery store in the 17200 block of Redmond Way. The suspect was arrested.

Going nuts: A grocery store in the 17200 block of Redmond Way reported a shoplift of a large bag of walnuts. There are no suspects.

Tuesday, Aug. 18

Recovered vehicle: A vehicle stolen from Redmond was located near Issaquah by the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Assault: Redmond Police responded to a report of an in-progress physical assault at a department store parking lot in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. The suspect was arrested for assault, fourth degree.

Phone harassment: An investigation is ongoing, in response to a report of telephone harassment in the 14800 block of Redmond Way.

Domestic violence: A man reportedly strangled his wife at an apartment complex in the 3900 block of West Lake Sammamish Parkway. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

Disturbance: Redmond Police responded to a disturbance at a business in the 15900 block of Northeast 85th Street. No crime was committed and no arrests were made.

Drunk and disorderly: Redmond Police responded to an assault at a bus stop in the 17600 block of Northeast 76th Street. The male suspect asked the female victim for a cigarette. She said no and explained that she got one from someone else. She then asked him to leave. The suspect appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and hit her on the leg with an open hand. Officers saw the assault occur and the suspect was arrested.

DUI: An adult male was arrested for DUI in the 11800 block of Willows Road after showing signs of impairment from consuming alcohol.

Monday, Aug. 17

Car prowl: Redmond Police responded to a window smash car prowl in the 18600 block of Northeast 63rd Way.

Burglary: Redmond Police investigated a report of a burglary at a construction trailer in the 14800 block of Northeast 31st Street.

Suspicious circumstance: A victim reported that his window suddenly shattered while he was driving south in the 11500 block of Avondale Road. He believed it had been shot out.

No more GPS: A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 14800 block of Redmond Way.

Candid camera: A suspect was captured on a surveillance video, stealing merchandise from a store in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. The suspect has not yet been apprehended.

Domestic violence: Redmond Police responded to a domestic violence call in the 2300 block of 180th Place Northeast. One arrest was made.

Sunday, Aug. 16

Hold-up: An 18-year-old male reported being robbed by five juvenile males for money and clothing. This case is under investigation.

Car prowls: At a car prowl in the 14800 block of Redmond Way, suspects smashed the window and took a laptop computer and snowboard. Prints were submitted for analysis. There was also a car prowl in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast, in which unknown suspect(s) entered the car and smoked cigarettes, but stole nothing. Car prowls also occurred in the 9700 block of 164th Avenue Northeast, and 16400 block of Northeast 96th Place.

Saturday, Aug. 15

Missing person: Redmond Police responded to a residential facility in the 8700 block of 166th Avenue Northeast, to report a male as missing/endangered. He was not located.

Domestic violence: A suspect was arrested for domestic violence assault, fourth degree, in the 7400 block of 159th Place Northeast.

Friday, Aug. 14

Bad Trip: A male reported his vehicle stolen at a motel in the 2100 block of 152nd Avenue Northeast.

Car Prowls: Redmond Police responded to four car prowls at the Cedar Ridge Condos in the 14600 block of Northeast 80th Street. Also, a Florida couple’s car while they were visiting family in the 8200 block of 145th Court. Stolen from their vehicle were $1,230 in cash, a camera and other items.

Vandalism: A resident of the 11400 block of Avondale Road reported having a rock thrown through her living room window. A suspect was named.

Malicious mischief: Someone used a blunt object to write on the passenger door of a vehicle in the 9300 block of Avondale Road.
