Tuesday, Sept. 22

Car prowls: Residents in the 8100 block of 145th Court Northeast, the 8000 block of 145th Avenue Northeast, the 14500 block of Northeast 80th Place and the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast called Redmond Police to report that their cars had been prowled overnight.

Graffti: Someone spray-painted graffiti on the back of a business in the 17200 block of Redmond Way. No suspect information is available.

Tanked: An adult male subject was arrested for shoplifting beer from a gas station in the 16900 block of Redmond Way. He was highly intoxicated and ultimately booked into King County Jail.

Video gamer caught on video: Redmond Police responded to a shoplifting report at a store in the 17700 block of Northeast 76th Street. A known suspect was discovered on a surveillance video after he stole video game merchandise. The suspect will be charged with theft, third degree, through investigation.

DUI: Suspects were arrested for DUI in the 10000 block of Avondale Road and at Avondale Road and Northeast 85th Place.

Monday, Sept. 21

Dog bite: A resident of the 11400 block of Avondale Road called 911 after her neighbor’s dog bit her.

Power struggle: Unknown suspects forcibly entered a storage area at an apartment complex in the 15800 block of Leary Way. The victim reported a loss of power tools.

Domestic violence: A Redmond man was arrested in the 8200 block of 145th Court after he twisted his mother’s hands and wrists to take her cell phone.

Assault at bus stop: Redmond Police investigated an assault at a bus stop in the 8100 block of 161st Avenue Northeast. There is limited suspect information.

Sunday, Sept. 20

DUI: Redmond Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at Avondale Road and Avondale Place Northeast and determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The driver was arrested and later released.

Public boozing: Three adults will be charged with consuming liquor in a public park in the 3600 West Lake Sammamish Parkway.

Shoplifting: Two individuals concealed merchandise and left a store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast without paying. They were contacted in the parking lot and arrested.

Saturday, Sept. 19

Vandalism: Redmond Police responded to complaints of malicious mischief in the 8900 block of 161st Avenue and the 15700 block of Redmond Way. In the first incident, an unknown person keyed a man’s vehicle while he was inside a restaurant. In the other incident, the reporting party said his vehicle was damaged by two males, one of whom was located and arrested.

Drugs/alcohol: Redmond Police arrested a subject for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol inbthe 10900 block of Avondale Road and also assisted Redmond Fire with a combative female who was under the influence of drugs in the 16800 block of Northeast 89th Street. That subject was transported to a hospital for treatment.

At it again: A well-known shoplifting suspect was seen concealing merchandise and running from Loss Prevention personnel at a store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast. The suspect was apprehended in the parking lot and placed under arrest.

Friday, Sept. 18

Domestic disturbance: Redmond Police School Resource Officer Bill Corson was assigned to Redmond Junior High School when he was contacted by a teacher about a possible assault situation between a 13-year-old student and his mother. A preliminary investigation determined that the incident occurred the day before at school. The student had become angry at his mother and threw a pair of scissors at her, just missing her head. The case is under investigation.

Easy target: Unknown suspect(s) stole a van which was parked on the street in the 16000 block of Northeast 85th St., after the owner left the keys in the ignition.

Family feud: Redmond Police responded to an argument between two sisters at an apartment complex in the 9000 block of Avondale Road. A primary physical aggressor could not be established, so no arrests were made.

Thursday, Sept. 17

Car prowls: Redmond Police responded to car prowls in the 17600 block of Redmond Way, the 16000 block of Northeast 38th Street and the 7700 block of 178th Place Northeast.

Domestic violence: An arrest for domestic assault was made in the 15600 block of Northeast 112th Street.

Belligerent shoplifter: A female adult was arrested for shoplifting, providing false information and resisting arrest in the 2100 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

Suicide attempt: Redmond Police responded to an attempted suicide incident at an apartment complex in the 18600 block of Redmond Way. A female intentionally cut herself across the forehead and was transported to a local hospital. An associated male subject was arrested on separate charges.
