Porch + Park mixed-use building to host Rubinstein Bagels and Tavolàta Italian restaurant

The new restaurants are expected to open in Winter 2022.

MainStreet Property Group LLC, a Kirkland-based real estate developer, announced that they have secured two tenants at the ‘Porch + Park’ mixed-use building in downtown Redmond, a restaurant from Seattle restauranter Ethan Stowell Restaurant Group and a Rubinstein Bagels shop.

Located at 16001 Redmond Way in Redmond, in the new over 150,000 square-foot, six-story Porch + Park mixed-use building, featuring 106 apartments, an expansive rooftop deck overlooking Downtown Redmond, over 9,500 sq. ft. of street-level restaurant space, and an iconic metallic purple exterior on a unique triangular-shaped building

Slated for completion in December 2022, the six-story Porch + Park mixed-use building is located across from Redmond’s Downtown Park and two blocks from Sounds Transit’s Downtown Redmond Light Rail Station.

ESR’s Italian restaurant Tavolàta Redmond will open within a 4,500 square-foot ground floor space and adjacent Rubinstein Bagels will be in a 2,680 square-foot space that both open onto Redmond’s Downtown Park, with grand openings slated for Winter 2022.

From Rigatoni to Tonnarelli and Spaghetti to Linguine — Tavolàta is ESR Group’s most established restaurant concept with numerous other locations throughout the Pacific Northwest, including Seattle and Spokane.

As the restaurant group’s second location on the Eastside, Tavolàta Redmond will offer a menu centered on pasta that is handcrafted daily featuring fresh Pacific Northwest ingredients along with house favorites like the Berkshire Pork Chop, Smoked Fish Bruschetta, and Whole Grilled Branzino.

Focused on creating a positive and energetic restaurant, the new location will feature dark wood in a dimly-lit, modern space that’s great for cocktails and wine over generous bowls of pasta. Tavolàta Redmond will also feature its namesake, a long indoor communal table, as well as include an outdoor patio overlooking the park that is expected to be popular year-round for happy hour and group dining.

“We’ve been looking for the right location to grow our presence on the Eastside, and Porch + Park is the perfect building and location for this expansion,” said ESR Group Chef Ethan Stowell. “We always love working with the MainStreet team and believe locating at the end of the park is spectacular and we can’t think of a better community to join than the growing hub like Downtown Redmond.”

As a newer local company specializing in classic bagels and bagel sandwiches made with 100 percent, organic flour grown in the Pacific Northwest, ESR partner Rubinstein Bagels offers delicious fresh-baked bagels with daily options from Poppy Seed and Garlic to Salted Rosemary and Cacio e Pepe along with a variety of schmears and toppings.

Recently named one of the ‘Best Bagels in America’ by Food & Wine Magazine, the new Rubinstein Bagels space will feature bright and airy design elements within a fresh and inviting space. Outdoor seating will also be available for those that wish to have breakfast, lunch, or craft coffee overlooking the park.

Rubinstein is also considering a beer/taproom concept for the space later in the day, with a curated selection of beers on tap along with a selection of pretzels and pastrami sandwiches, as well as Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas for the morning and brunch crowds.

“Porch + Park is in a great location. The Redmond area is so vivacious, and we’ve experienced a long-standing craving from folks on the Eastside to experience our bagels locally,” said Rubinstein Bagels Owner Andrew Rubinstein. “We’re so excited to not only extend our reach to the Redmond community — but also to increase our delivery capacity to Rubinstein fans across the Eastside.”
