Purpose journey workshop at VALA set for Oct. 21-22

VALA is hosting “The Honor Your Purpose Journey” art workshop Oct. 21 and 22.

VALA is hosting “The Honor Your Purpose Journey” art workshop Oct. 21 and 22.

The workshop is designed to help women identify and cultivate their true self and life purpose through art journaling exercises and a vision canvas painting, a symbol to remind them to honor their life’s calling. The workshop will be taught by Vicki Todd, Ed.D. and life coach, who recently resigned from her 11-year, tenured professor position to create and teach the workshops.

“Sometimes women lose themselves in family or work roles by putting others first and themselves last. Sometimes women outgrow life circumstances and feel stuck,” said Todd. “I believe my purpose is to use my life experiences and the transformational alchemy of art to help women reclaim their unique gifts and use them to benefit the world and create a more vibrant, joyful life for themselves and those around them.”

Todd will also offer participants a one-hour group life coaching session via phone after the workshop concludes to discuss their progress toward fulfilling their purpose.

The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 21 and 22 at the VALA Art Center & Studios (7330 164th Ave. N.E. in Redmond Town Center).

The cost of the workshop is  $475 for both days. The fee is due by Oct. 14 via PayPal to vickiworldart@gmail.com.

Participants should bring art supplies to the workshop including a mixed-media art journal, gallery-wrapped canvas, acrylic craft paints and brushes.
