More than 500 cyclists will ride from Redmond to Bellingham tomorrow in support of World Bicycle Relief and the Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation.
The Red-Bell 100, a one-way ride from Marymoor Park in Redmond to Boundary Bay Brewery in Bellingham, will run from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Riders will travel along low-traffic back roads and scenic trails and pledge to raise at least $150 to benefit the two organizations.
The nonprofit Cascade Bicycle Club Education Foundation reaches 25,000 kids annually in the Puget Sound region. Students learn safe riding skills, basic bicycle maintenance and healthy habits.
World Bicycle Relief has distributed more than 190,000 Buffalo bicycles — specially designed to empower healthcare workers, students and entrepreneurs in Africa and beyond.
