Tuesday, Jan. 11

Lost then found: A man found his iPod at a pawn shop in the 9300 block of Avondale Road. He suspects his ex-girlfriend was responsible for pawning the item.

Monday, Jan. 10

Theft: Redmond police investigated the theft of jewelry and alcohol from an apartment in the 8500 block of 148th Avenue Northeast.

Hammer time: Redmond police arrested a 32-year-old man after he damaged his ex-girlfriend’s car with a hammer in the 17300 block of Northeast 67th Circle.

Theft: Redmond police responded to a report of mail theft in the 17100 block of Northeast 80th Street.

Sunday, Jan. 9

Car prowl: Someone smashed a window of a vehicle parked in the 9000 block of Avondale Road and stole the stereo.

DUI: Redmond police arrested a 33-year-old man for investigation of DUI in the 7800 block of Leary Way at around 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 8

Bat man: A man was assaulted with a bat and rock by his brother-in-law at around 2 a.m. in the 6200 block of 154th Avenue Northeast.

DUI: Redmond police made two DUI arrests at around 12:30 a.m. The first one, a 41-year-old man was arrested in the 18600 block of Redmond Way. In the second one, a 48-year-old man was arrested in the 15600 block of Northeast 109th Street.

Fire at Grasslawn Park: Around 11:30 a.m., a Grasslawn Park user went to use the bathroom and noticed that black smoke was emanating from it. He yelled in to see if anyone was inside, but no one responded. He immediately called 911 and fire and police responded. Most of the damage was to the baby changing station. There are no suspects at this time.

Friday, Jan. 7

Car prowl: Redmond police responded to a car prowl in the 15600 block of Northeast 40th Street, where a vehicle window was broken and an iPod was stolen.

Theft: Redmond police investigated a report of stolen jewelry in the 7900 block of 178th Place Northeast.

Trespass: A trespass letter was issued to an unwanted person at a residence in the 11400 block of Avondale Road.

Thursday, Jan. 6

Suspicious circumstances: A business in the 16000 block of Redmond Way reported that suspicious man attempted to purchase something with what appeared to be a counterfeit bill. After refusing to accept the bill, the person paid with a different way and left the store with the suspected counterfeit bill.
