The City of Redmond and King County’s Marymoor Park will host a neighborhood meeting for those who live near and around Marymoor Park. The meeting, on Monday, May 24 at Clise Mansion in Marymoor Park at 7:30 p.m., will brief the neighbors on Marymoor Park’s line-up of summer entertainment as well as outline the procedures for conveying any issues or concerns to the correct jurisdiction.

Just a few of the events scheduled for Marymoor Park this summer include Cirque do Soleil and the USGA tournament, as well as the Concerts at Marymoor series, featuring The Doobie Brothers, Barenaked Ladies and Train, to name a few.

Common questions and concerns about the summer entertainment at Marymoor Park include, “Who directs traffic?” … “What if the music is too loud?” … “How late do the events run?”

Redmond Police assist with traffic flow outside of the park but King County has jurisdiction for traffic control and other incidents within Marymoor Park.

King County event staff and City of Redmond Police monitor sound during events. A Redmond Police officer will respond to a citizen’s call to evaluate the sound level at their location. If the volume is found to be excessive, the officer will notify personnel at the park who will direct the sound booth to lower the sound levels, according to Tim O’Leary of the county’s public affairs department.

For the Summer Concert series at Marymoor Park, shows end at 10 p.m. Cirque du Soleil shows end at 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. would be the latest that amplified music would be allowed in an outdoor venue at the park.
