On Jan. 4 and 5, Boy Scout Troop 557 will collect and recycle Christmas trees from curbs in Redmond at Bear Creek Country Club, Trilogy, RiverTrail, Meadowview and other surrounding neighborhoods. Trees may also be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 4 and 5 at the troop’s collection station in the Bella Botega parking lot near QFC on Northeast 90th Street in Redmond.
Residents in the troop’s collection area will have received either a flier or email note from their homeowner’s association with collection day information and instructions. Residents are asked to leave their trees at the curb by 9 a.m. on either of the collection days.
For more than 16 years, Troop 557 has participated in this scouting community service project and fundraiser. Donations received are used to run the scout troop and help fund activities for the coming year.
