Redmond Color Run for Heart set for tomorrow

The Redmond Color Run for Heart, organized by students at Redmond High School for the American Heart Association, will take place at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow at Redmond Town Center. Nadia Luqman, a 16-year-old heart-defect survivor, will be speaking at the event and sharing her story. She has also helped to plan this event from its inception last year.

The Redmond Color Run for Heart, organized by students at Redmond High School for the American Heart Association, will take place at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow at Redmond Town Center. The festive and family friendly 5K run and walk features participants who are plastered with color as they go through the course, ending in a multi-color finish. The event promotes physical activity for heart health, and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association. The race will start and finish at Redmond Town Center.T-shirts and race packets will be available for pick up at the event starting at 7:15 a.m.

Adult registration fee: $25 plus $2.50 signup fee.

Children 12 and under: $15 plus $2.50 signup fee.
