Redmond Detectives arrest suspected killer in 2011 cold case in Los Angeles.

The victim, Lorrill Sinclaire, was last seen on Nov. 8, 2011, near Factoria Mall in Bellevue.

Redmond Police Detectives arrested 44-year-old Mark Raymond Frisby on Nov. 16, for the 11-year cold case homicide of Redmond resident Lorill Sinclaire.

Sinclaire was last seen on Nov. 8, 2011, near Factoria Mall in Bellevue. Her vehicle was later found in a church parking lot near her boyfriend, Frisby’s apartment. Sinclaire was reported to be visiting Frisby before her disappearance.

On Dec. 10, 2011, approximately 70 Search and Rescue volunteers with King, Snohomish, and Pierce counties searched a wooded area around Coal Creek Parkway and Factoria Boulevard in Bellevue for clues. The search produced no evidence. Since then, there have been no signs of activity or communication with her, and she was never seen or heard from again.

The case eventually went cold until police reopened it last year on the 10th anniversary of Sinclaire’s disappearance.

Through extensive investigations, numerous search warrants, and advancements in DNA technology, Redmond detectives gathered enough evidence to arrest Frisby and charge him with second degree murder.

Redmond detectives, along with assistance from the Los Angeles Police Department, took Frisby into custody at his apartment in Los Angeles. Frisby is currently in a Los Angeles jail awaiting the extradition process.

“We never forgot Lorill and are grateful to have identified the person responsible for her tragic murder,” said Police Chief Darrell Lowe. “We hope this arrest can provide her family some closure.”

Sinclaire’s remains have not been found. Detectives are asking for the public’s help with any information related to her disappearance. If there are any new leads, please contact Detectives Mitchell or Tolbert at 425-556-2500.
