Haggen, which opened its new supermarket (converting an Albertsons) at 3925 236th Ave. N.E. on March 10, donates $1,000 to one nonprofit organization on the first day the store opens and 2 percent of sales to four additional nonprofit organizations on four consecutive Saturdays.

The local Haggen is located in unincorporated King County near Redmond.
