Redmond High School student Vanesha Hari has been selected by International Leadership Network as one of 16 students to receive recognition as a 2021 Young Achiever.

She is a co-founder of a nonprofit organization called Joys of Giving, where she has helped raise $18,000 while helping more than 700 youth and volunteering more than 600 hours. She qualified for the VEX World Robotics Competition in May 2021. Her high school teachers nominated her for an exemplary community service award, “Humans of Redmond High School.”

She received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2019, 2020 and 2021. She also received a United Nations Ambassador Award for 100-plus service hours and a special award for UN Global Goals: Zero Hunger.
