Emily Gamache, a ninth grader at Redmond Junior High School, will attend the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program at the United States Naval Academy this summer.
STEM is a highly competitive program – selecting only a few hundred high school students from across the nation. There will be specific projects in forensics, robotics, mechanics, 3-D simulation and fabrication along with tours of labs and research areas, hands-on activities, design challenges, and exciting competitions.
