Wednesday, March 16

Caught on tape: Redmond police took a report of a theft at a restaurant in the 2100 block of Bel-Red Road. The suspect was caught on security footage.

Theft: Someone stole a GPS unit from an unlocked vehicle in the 16100 block of Northeast 83rd Street.

Car prowls: There were 11 different reports of car prowls in the Overlake district sometime during Tuesday night. Items that were stolen included electronic devices and other personal items. Remember to lock all door and keep valuables out of plain sight.

Tuesday, March 15

DUI: Redmond police arrested a Woodinville man for investigation of DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop in the 17000 block of Redmond Way at around 10:30 p.m. A woman passenger was also charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Vehicle theft: A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot of a business in the 3500 block of 157th Avenue Northeast.

Dumpster diving: Redmond police responded to a report of several men taking items from a dumpster in the 4900 block of 150th Avenue Northeast.

Monday, March 14

Theft attempt: Two juveniles concealed several cans of beer in a backpack and tried to leave a grocery store in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast without paying at 2 a.m. Store personnel were able to retrieve the stolen beer, but the juveniles ran away.

Derailed: Redmond police arrested a 42-year-old man for investigation of DUI after he drove his vehicle down the train tracks near the corner of Redmond Way and 148th Avenue Northeast.

Sunday, March 13

Theft: A bicycle was stolen for a residence in the 17500 block of Northeast 38th Circle.

Fast getaway: A white man stole electronics merchandise from a department store in the 2200 block of 148th Avenue Northeast at around 3 p.m. and got away in a vehicle, driven by a black man.

Pelted by pellets: A Redmond man reported that his vehicle was damaged by a pellet gun near the corner of Northeast 24th Street and 164th Avenue Northeast.

Saturday, March 12

Thief caught: Redmond police investigated a report of a shoplifter at a grocery store in the 8800 block of 161st Avenue Northeast at around 7 p.m. The suspect, a 23-year-old man from Bothell, was located nearby and arrested.

Purse snatcher: Someone smashed a window of parked vehicle in the 17200 block of Northeast 104th Street and stole a purse from inside the vehicle at around 4 p.m.

Friday, March 11

Theft: A Microsoft employee called police at around 7:30 p.m. to report that his bicycle was stolen in the 15200 block of Northeast 40th Street.

Threats: A Nintendo employee who works in the 4900 block of 150th Avenue Northeast reported at around 6:30 p.m. that someone was calling on the phone and making threats.

Reckless burning: The Redmond Fire Department responded to a dumpster fire in the 3900 block of 159th Avenue Northeast, caused by a lit cigarette at around 11 a.m.

No utilities: A utility trailer was reported stolen from a commercial parking lot in the 14600 block of Northeast 91st Street at around 8:30 a.m.

Thursday, March 10

Weeds be gone: Two 18-year-old men from Bellevue, who had just smoked marijuana, stole a weed eater from a residence in the 2000 block of 182nd Avenue Northeast, and were arrested nearby at around 2 a.m.
