Each year, the Redmond Police Department (RPD) supports the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics by hosting Tip-A-Cop at two local Red Robin locations in the fall, as well as hosting the Polar Plunge at Idylwood Beach Park in March.

This year’s Tip-A-Cop event will be Oct. 24, with representatives from RPD serving up beverages, food and smiles, while collecting tips to support Special Olympics Washington.

A hundred percent of the tips RPD receive will go to Special Olympics Washington.

There will also be police cars onsite, items for kids and even “fake arrests” for photo opportunities. Anyone who donates more than $100 will be entered to win two round trip tickets on Alaska Airlines.

RPD will be at the Red Robin restaurants at 7597 170th Ave. N.E. in Redmond Town Center and 2390 148th Ave. N.E. in Overlake from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4-8 p.m.
