Three Redmond residents have been named finalists in the Re-Energized by Design, a competition that will pit six Puget Sound Energy (PSE) customers against one another in a series of five room makeover challenges that combine beautiful home design and energy efficiency.

After accepting photo and video entries from customers, PSE has narrowed the field to 20 finalists, including Peggy White, Mary Roberts and Chuong Mai of Redmond.

Now through Nov. 18, the 20 finalists’ entries will be posted on www.reenergizedbydesign.com and the public can vote to decide the 10 entrants that will make it to the final selection interview.

From the final 10 interviewees, six contestants will be selected to participate in Re-Energized by Design’s series of room-by-room challenges. Contestants will be filmed as they complete the projects and will appear in the Re-Energized by Design webisode series in late spring 2013.

During the show:

  • Contestants will be paired with a design coach who will provide design guidance and encouragement.
  • Each contestant will receive new efficient GE lightbulbs and Frigidaire appliances.
  • Each of the contestants’ projects will reviewed by a panel of three judges who will eliminate the lowest scoring contestant after each round.
  • The final contestant standing will win a $5,000 grand prize.
