Redmond seeking applicants for Arts Commission

The City of Redmond Arts Commission is looking for applications from residents, unincorporated King County residents or people who work in Redmond interested in developing and supporting the arts.

The City of Redmond Arts Commission is looking for applications from residents, unincorporated King County residents or people who work in Redmond interested in developing and supporting the arts.

The mission of the commission is “Community inspired and connected by arts and culture.” They work to achieve excellence in arts programming; nurture and support artists, arts organizations and arts education; and promote attendance at arts events.

The commission also makes recommendations to the mayor and City Council regarding arts-related acquisitions, programs, projects and events. All board and commission members are volunteers.

The arts commission has one arts commissioner position available. Commissioners serve three-year terms, attending Redmond Arts Commission meetings once a month (second Thursday of each month).
