Redmond seeking summer-camp proposals

Redmond Parks and Recreation is currently seeking proposals for day-camp programs for the summer of 2018. Programs could include but are not limited to the areas of arts, dance, drama, fitness, nature, outdoor education, science, special interests, sports and technology.

Redmond’s summer day-camp programs follow the Lake Washington School District calendar, and usually start the last full week of June and run through the end of August. Camps generally occur in half-day (9 a.m. to noon or 1-4 p.m.) or full-day (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) sessions. Target ages range from preschoolers through teens. Camps primarily take place at the Old Fire House Teen Center, Anderson Park Cabins, various parks within the city limits, such as Grass Lawn, Perrigo and Farrel-McWhirter, as well as Redmond’s new interim community center located near Marymoor Village.

Proposals are currently being accepted from new and existing contractors at http://www.redmond.gov/SummerCampRFPs. To be considered for the summer of 2018, all proposals must be submitted before noon on Jan. 2, 2018.
