Redmond Town Center will present its Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 29.
The ceremony will begin with a musical holiday performance by SecondStory Repertory theater. At 5 p.m., Santa will emerge from his cottage and the countdown will begin to light the three-story tree. After the explosion of light, SecondStory will lead the singing of a few more carols for the audience to join in on.
At 5:30 p.m., VALA — Venue for Artists of the Local Area — will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and chamber music to entertain the patrons of the arts. Unique artwork will be featured and several artists will be on site to discuss their designs.
The Marriott Merry-Go-Round and the Holiday Express Train ride for kids will begin at 9 a.m. on Nov. 29 and will operate every day during mall hours. The Marriott Merry-Go-Round, sponsored by the Redmond Marriott Town Center, benefits the Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, which helps disabled kids ride horses.
